18-20/09^/2015 Val d’Anniviers

Banque Thaler particpated in the ‘Jazz under the Stars’ event, which took place on 18-20 September in the beautiful station of Saint-Luc in Val d’Anniviers.

The organisers gathered an eclectic palette of artists from different genres to offer a fun and varied repertoire.
The spectators were invited to the most stunning hotels in Saint-Luc to enjoy these jazz concerts. To add even more fun to the long evenings, there were two jam sessions, on the Friday and Saturday nights in Saint-Luc bars. Needless to say, the lively atmosphere made the nights fly by!

To make the sunny days come alive, on the Saturday and Sunday mornings there were some unusual activities, typical of the region:
On the Saturday, the ‘désalpe’ (a traditional Swiss mountain festivity when animals descend from their mountain pastures), a fanfare of the ‘Moonlight Serenade’ accompanied the cow parade. On the Sunday, to reward the brave walkers who had climbed the Planets Trail, the organisers arranged a solo alphorn concert by the Geneva-born jazz musician Ian Gordon Lennox. What better way could there be to spend a warm autumn day?
